As a 2nd generation owner of Maxwell and Bowar Agency, Mike followed in his dad’s footsteps, entering into the insurance business in 2004 after graduating from the University of South Dakota. Mike believes that taking care of their clients with a respectful, friendly, and professional manner is what makes MBA successful. Mike and his wife Audrey have three boys: Grady, Cohen and Wells. Mike is an avid golfer who loves coaching his boys and spending time with his family.
Michael, the son of the late Bruce Maxwell, is a Parkston native who graduated in 1997 from Parkston High School. He attended Mount Marty College and graduated in 2002 with degrees in Education and Recreation Management. Michael joined MBA in August of 2004 and primarily works with the home/farm, auto, commercial, life, and health insurance policies. Michael loves being part of the Parkston community and volunteers on many local boards. Michael can be found at almost all the local sporting events and his daughters’ rodeos. Michael and his wife, Melissa, have three daughters: Mariah, Morgan, and Macy.
A 2008 graduate of the USD Business school. Bill works in home/farm, auto, commercial, health and life insurance. Bill’s goal is to be a source of knowledge for his customers, educating them about the insurance products available and how they will work for the customer. Bill brings community leadership to the team through his involvement in the Parkston Commercial Club and the Parkston Jr. NBA Youth Basketball program. Bill is married to his wife Jessica. They have six kids, Flynn, Mato, David, Kellianna, Lylia and Alita. They enjoy music, cooking, athletics and outdoor activities.
Bart is a 1978 graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University with a degree in Economics. With 25 years in the insurance industry, Bart is licensed in crop, property and casualty and also is a licensed real estate broker. Bart really enjoys the insurance business, meeting people and giving great service. Bart is married to Lisa and they have 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
Danialle began her insurance career in 2007 as a Customer Service Representative for Farmers Union Insurance. In 2012 she joined Maxwell and Bowar Agency, Inc as an Independent Insurance Agent. She is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance as well as Life & Health insurance. She primarily works out of the Ethan Office. Danialle resides just outside of Ethan with her husband, Jake. Together they share two children, Hunter & Cheyenne. Most of her free time is spent in the outdoors with her family on hunting adventures or cheering her kids on in their sporting activities.
Pam joined Maxwell and Bowar Agency in 2008. Pam is the primary customer service representative and handles all of the accounting in the office. She and her husband, Todd, have three sons: Cody (Jessica), Trevor (Annie), Spencer (Emily) as well as eight grandchildren. Pam enjoys spending time with her family, going to baseball games, singing and reading.
Born and raised in Parkston, SD, Patrick began his insurance career with Maxwell & Bowar Agency in 1988 after graduating from Black Hills State College. He has been serving customers’ insurance needs in the Ethan, Dimock, Parkston, and surrounding areas for over 35 years. Pat was a member of the Spearfish and Ethan Jaycees, and a volunteer fireman in Ethan for twelve years. He is a member of the Dimock Knights of Columbus and has served on Saints Peter & Paul Church Finance Board and Parish Council. He has been the Dimock Park Board President for the past 32 years and is currently serving on the Avera St. Benedict Hospital Board in Parkston. Pat and his wife, Kim, have three grown daughters and eight grandchildren, and they truly enjoy family gatherings. Pat and Kim have also enjoyed being involved in community and church activities, especially the planning, building, and maintenance of Dimock Park
Raquel began her insurance career in 2016. She has been a part of the Maxwell & Bowar team since March of 2018. She is licensed in property & casualty and crop insurance. Raquel, works primarily on data entry for the crop insurance department along with writing personal & commercial policies. Raquel was born and raised in Pierre, SD but now resides in Ethan, SD with her husband, Jared, and daughter Jocelyn. When she’s not in the office Raquel enjoys spending time with her family & friends, being outdoors; hunting & fishing, riding her horses and playing in her garden.
Rick is a Parkston native and graduated from Parkston High School in 2002. After high school, he attended South Dakota State University earning his degree in Agricultural Engineering. He also has completed his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota in 2012. Rick resides in the Parkston area with his wife and 3 children. He is involved in various community organizations and enjoys spending time with his children by participating in and volunteer coaching their sporting events. In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his wife.
